Daniel Friedmann says "Israel did not commit war crimes"

Justice Minister Daniel Friedmann said Wednesday that "Israel did not commit war crimes during the fighting in Gaza. The terrorists were the ones abusing the fact that Israel was trying to avoid hurting innocent civilians."

Speaking before the Conference of Presidents in Jerusalem, Friedmann added that the international procedures Israel has been subjected to for allegedly committing such crimes were "unfair". He expressed his hopes that Israel would be able to convince foreign legislators "to put a stop to such lawsuits". (Aviad Glickman)
